I have Vans made of italian leather and woven something, they're very nice. Check out the OTW and California Collection, or just look at their options beyond canvas basics.

Aside from the general release, Vans has many different lines. Check out Vans CA, OTW, Vault, Syndicate. That's in order of "lower to high" quality.

Also, the Vans Pro Skate line are pretty durable.

Brands like Common Projects have similar styled shoes too.
